THE BRAIN:

The brain is an organ that serves as the center of the nervous system in all vertebrates and most invertebrate animals. The brain controls your ability to think, talk, feel, see, hear, remember things, and much more. It even controls your breathing.

As a human, you can lead your brain. consulting your brain in times of hardship is the best solution and in consulting your brain, apply strong diagnostic and analytical skills. Sometimes our brain is working against us taking what is new, unfamiliar, and introducing it.

The brain likes novelty but it also likes to be able to produce the future, to be certain. Navigating your brain at the right time is the best thing ever because it is the most useful part of the human organ. Your brain is like a memory card, it stores all your actions and all the activities you carry out on daily basis.

Exercise your brain by doing something creative from time to time, ensure you do and listen to something productive. To keep your brain alive, you need to be mindful of your activities, actions, the kind of friends you keep, what you watch, and the kind of advice you listen to.

FACTORS THAT AFFECT THE BRAIN

· Over-thinking.

· Aggression.

· Insomnia.

· Activity level.

· Stress.

· Dental health.

· Diet.

· Organization.

· Smoking.

· Playing loud music with earphones or headphones.

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR MEMORY

The elements of a good brain-boosting activity contain;

· It teaches you something new

· It’s challenging

· It’s a skill you can build on

· It’s rewarding

In boosting your brain; you might consider these factors;

· Practical steps to support learning and memory, sometimes when you are alone. you can visit a library or get a book that is inspiring and will impact your mental health.

· Laugh- Laughter they say “is the best medicine”, Surround yourself with people or things that make you happy, it doesn’t have to make sense to others as long as it makes you happy.

· Keep stress in check: Stress is one of the brain’s worst enemies. Chronic stress destroys brain cells, so in managing, stress, set realistic expectations, take breaks throughout the day, express your feelings instead of bottling them up, set a healthy balance between work and leisure time, and focus on one task at a time rather than trying to multi-task.

· Identify and treat health problems.

· Eat a brain-boosting diet: your brain needs fuel to function, follow nutritional tips that will boost your brainpower such as proteins foods [Vegetables, fruits, nuts, fatty fish, coffee, dark chocolates, olive oil, etc ].

· Make time for friends: Keep a healthy relationship, be with friends who inspire and make life lively for you “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” Don’t be a jack of all trades.

· Drink cold water whenever the weather is hot.

· Get a good night’s sleep

· Do a high-intensity workout: Stand up more, do aerobic (Physical exercises).

Finally, Do yourself a favor; Get yourself a written goal journal, and inculcate the habit of putting all your plans, goals, and ideas in writing. That is the best way to free your brain and keep it functioning, you can’t keep all things in your head. Put them in writing and read them often until they are accomplished. Your Brain is the most useful part of your organ, protect it, make it function and keep it alive….
